Maclaren Triumph Strollers

I suppose nearly every parent has done this, gone out to buy a stroller, lets say a maclaren triumph strollers and the guy at the store says "heres what ive got", tells you how good it is and when he gets to the features starts talking in a different language, you nod your head to agree but whats turned your head is the fact that it looks nice, the most beautiful thing to compliment your baby. You take it home, unwrap it, take it for a test drive then BAM... BAD NEWS!

Only to discover that it doesnt do this and you wish it could do that, and what do you do? ill tell you....

Ill hold my hands up im guilty as sin, done that worn the t-shirt. Finding out that the maclaren triumph stroller you bought just does not cater for your hectic life style, just because you didnt note the features properly...so here is what im going to do.

Im going to take the features and try and break them down for easy reading and were going with the triumph stroller.

You may be`wondering why i have chosen the Maclaren triumph strollers rather than the chicco strollers or even the kolcraft strollers ...well maclaren designed and built the very first, way back in 1965 so it probably makes it the best known baby buggy out there on the market today and I have pulled the maclaren triumph strollers range out of a hat.

This is not intended to be a review, its just what the features are and what they do..

So first things first, here is the list of features for the triumph strollers..here we go!

The five-point harness: This has five straps to secure your baby in the stroller. Starts with two from the shoulders and works its way down to another two at the hips and one through the middle at the crotch. This is a biggie, if you want total safety go with this the other option is only a three.

Lightweight: About 11lbs the frame is made from tubes of aluminium, aluminium being a very light and strong metal alloy. Just about all strollers are built with this so no worries there.

Removable washable seat: Unfasten press studs and slide the fabric off can be a bit tricky just try and remember how you did this. here is a tip, if you find that once washed you find it hard to get it back on they might be a bit of shrinking going on..don't panic just soak it in water and it will stretch for you and leave to dry once it is back on.

Water resistant hood: A water proof hood to keep baby dry located at the top of the back rest which folds out. It tends to only cover the babies head which is not much I'm afraid.

High-performance aluminium frame: High performance? Is probably been tested in wind tunnels or something....sorry i just do not know, but for the aluminium frame please read lightweight.

Handy mesh shopping basket: It holds 55lbs which is not bad, located at the bottom and accessed from the back. This is a god send, hands are bags free, no hanging carriers off the handles. Makes shopping fun again.

Carry strap or handle: Carry strap is located on the back of the backrest and handle on the side. Which is best? Well i prefer either or you can ask your husband to try it out...hummm best to not go there!

5 second one-hand fold: to be able to hold baby in one hand while folding the buggy with the other in five seconds....wow! Want to see how its done?.. thought so, just copy and paste this link to your browser

They make it look so easy don't they.

Ergonomically optimised, foam insulated handles: Why they have to sound so scientific is beyond me.The push handles with the grip made from foam. They are a good grip, comfortable and warm but with a name like that you would think that they could do something for the backs of your hands as well.

Lockable, front swivel wheels: front wheels that turn 360 degrees and don't turn at all when locked. you have a lever on top of each front wheel that goes up and down to lock and unlock you can do this by using your foot. When unlocked its just a breeze getting round those busy shopping malls.

I do hope this Maclaren Triumph Strollers features guide has been helpful, to know whats important and to help you decide and try not to just go for the "trendy" version because whats the point in buying one with rough terrain wheels that costs an extra 30 dollars when all they will see is the side walk, get my point. Think about what it can do for you rather than what it looks like on you it could save you hundreds of dollars and make life allot easier.
