Why Macintosh Computers are better than Windows systems.
It is time to buy another Mac. I have suffered with my Windows XP system for the past year, and I am tired of all of the problems ( security, memory errors, slow response, etc.) with this operating system and hardware. I now use a Mac-Mini as my main desktop platform. Yeah!
I have had to support Windows and Macs at both work and at home, and the Macs are more intuitive to use, more secure and do not crash like the Windows boxes.
Find an Apple store near you and try a Mac, you'll like it. Be sure to review the Mac Buyers Guide before making a purchase, a nice resource made available from MacRumors.com.

- OS X vs. Vista
- "While Vista is indeed a major update to Windows, there's a lot of it that is, quite frankly, just Microsoft making up for lost time. The last non-server release of Windows was in 2001 with Windows XP, with only a single major interim update in Service Pack 2. In the same time, Apple has been steadily releasing updates to Mac OS X on what was a yearly schedule, now around every 18 months."

- We bought a Windows Vista Laptop to take with us on a trip - nothing but trouble with it. While some of the problem was just getting used to it, that wasn't always the case. We were happy to get back home to our old computer. Next year we'll try a Staycation again.(If you go to my lenses you will know what I'm talking about.) I found your lens to be very informative. 5 stars, favorite, fan and lensrolled.

Conclusions
I can now say my last computer purchase was a Mac-Mini. It is nice to be caught up with the real world. My previous purchase was a Dell E510 (1GB RAM, 3.0Ghz) because it was on sale and much cheaper that the Macintosh systems on sale at the time. But if you are price sensitive, remember to add on all of the other security tools you will need to secure the Windows operating system to the system price. The current Macintosh operating system, OS X, is based upon BSD UNIX, and much more secure than windows. I purchased the PC mainly to use for playing games. I have tried to use the PC for day to day activities over the past year, but I was not happy with my experience.Visit my Lensography for a look at other lenses I have contributed to the Squidoo community.
