Mad Hatter From 1865 To 2010

Changing Form Of The Loved Mad Hatter

When Lewis Carroll wrote the story of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland he was lucky to get an astute artist John Tenniel to illustrate his book. Together they produced a children's storybook that has kept its charm through the test of time.
Written in 1864 and published a year later Alice In Wonderland, as the book is nowadays most often called, has been the favorite story of many generations up to this day in 2009.
The Mad Hatter has been the favorite character in the book alongside with Alice of course and the cheeky Cheshire Cat.

Here are pictures of the Mad Hatter to demonstrate how he has changed in the last 150 years.

The Mad Hatter is having a tea party but it is anything but a regular boring tea party. It is an Un-Birthday Party, where only a few chosen ones have been invited. But Alice shows up Un-Invited and the Mad Hatter finds that quite insulting.

The Mad Hatter's Biggest Role In Alice In Wonderland Movie 2010

From Walt Disney Pictures and visionary director Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure "Alice in Wonderland". Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat, and of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror. The all-star cast also includes Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham-Carter and Crispin Glover; Linda Woolverton wrote the screenplay. Capturing the wonder of Lewis Carroll's beloved "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" (1865) and "Through the Looking-Glass" (1871), "Alice in Wonderland" comes to the big screen in Disney Digital 3D on March 5, 2010.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass are the original stories from Lewis Carroll.
They are the basis for the new Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland" that will be on big screens on March 5, 2010.
The movie is directed by Tim Burton and it is kind of a sequel to the classic Alice stories.

Alice is going back to Wonderland when she is 19 years old.
Her friends the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and the Cheshire Cat
are waiting for her to help them return Wonderland
into the relatively peaceful place it was before
the Red Queen's took over.

For you to completely understand Alice's motives,
I recommend reading the original Alice in Wonderland stories and quotes first!
