Who is Steven Madden
Meet the Designer
Born in 1958, Lawrence, Nassau County, New York.The company was founded by it's namesake, Steve Madden in 1990 in Brooklyn, where he started out making trend-advancing shoes one at a time.
Soon after, he focused on the "now-ness" that led the company to raves from young female fans who were absolutely mad for the funky, chic, and yet competitively priced footwear. The company popularized the "dressy sneaker," and continues to be a leader of trends.
Steve Madden is especially known for sky-high platforms that elevate cuties' shapely legs to Barbie-esque. One, of the many reasons why I love them. And it keeps getting better. His line has grown to include boots, booties, sandals, casuals, evening shoes, and even slippers geared for the young at heart, plus a line of footwear with a more elegant flair, branded Steven.
Mr. Madden continues to oversee the day-to-day responsibility for the design and marketing of the company's trend setting shoes for the past two decades.
Expanding now into other accessories such as handbags, belts, socks, watches, as well as the apparel segment with dresses and outerwear, Steve Madden is evolving into a lifestyle brand.

Measure Your FeetYour feet change during your lifetime. To make sure that you get the best possible fit and comfort, follow the simple directions below.
How to measure your feet
Place a piece of blank paper on a hard floor.
Stand on the paper wearing a sock of medium thickness.
Holding a pencil vertically, place a mark at the end of your heel.
Place another mark at the tip of your longest toe.
To find your size, measure the heel-to-toe mark and use the inch-to-size table.
If your measurements are between two sizes, or you find one foot's measurement larger than the other, always move up to the larger size.
