Mafia Wars 2 Mansion

This page chronicles the "limited edition," rare items that were given away to random people who followed Zynga's Mafia Wars 2 game in advance of its release. They include the Epic Mansion, Millionaire Knuckles, Atlas Statue, Bulletproof Vest, Founder's Jacket and Founder's Slacks.

The Original Email

This is the Oct. 10, 2011 email that was sent to a small number of people who had been following the progress of Mafia Wars 2. I believe that in order to have been on this list, you had to have "liked" the Mafia Wars 2 fan page immediately after it was created and advertised, which I did. If you were one of the lucky few, you were given these 6 items; five of which would never be released again.

Epic Mansion

mafia wars 2 epic mansionThe epic mansion, seen to the right, is a huge decoration, 10 squares wide x 16 squares long, that serves no other purpose beyond looking cool.

If you had received it, it would be available in your "decorations" menu. The epic mansion sells for $100, although, it wouldn't make sense to sell a rare item like this.

The mansion was designed to be rotated all 4 ways, if desired.

Epic Statue

mafia wars 2 epic statueThe epic statue, seen on your right, looks like a statue of the titan Atlas. It is 3 squares long x 3 squares wide. It is also considered a decoration and would have been in your "decorations" menu.

Like the mansion, the epic statue was designed to be rotated in all 4 directions if desired. The statue also sells for $100, but there is no purpose to sell such a rare item.

Millionaire Knuckles

mafia wars 2 millionaire knucklesThe "millionaire knuckles" was a limited edition item that also came along with the mansion and statue. They were simply a newbie item with generally low stats, that only served a purpose in the very first couple levels of the player's career, as they easily became underpowered soon after.

These brass knuckles had a 4/3 attack/defense, with 1 crit, 1 punch and 0 stealth.

The best part about them: they sold for $500, which is a lot of cash in the beginning of the game.

Bulletproof Vest

mafia wars 2 bulletproof vestThe bulletproof vest was the 4th of the introductory email items to be given out. It was a strong advantage to have this item early on, although like the Millionaire Knuckles, it loses its purpose with superior armors you'll find a few levels into your game.

The vest has 1/22 attack/defense, 2 crit, 2 punch and 3 stealth. It is actually not a rare item, because it can be later created in the level 2 workshop.

Founder's Jacket & Founder's Slacks

mafia wars 2 founders jacket and slacksThese two limited edition clothing items outfitted your character with a full white suit.

In Mafia Wars 2, you can wear numerous pieces of clothing that will layer with each other, and can be combined with other clothing articles.

Clothing, including these two items, has no effect on your character's statistics, only on how he or she looks in the actual game.

If desired, both the jacket and slacks could be sold for $500 a piece.

I am on the list to get all emails from Zynga about upcoming events and I received no emails whatsoever about Mafia Wars 2, so I am very disappointed that I did not know about the Mansion.
