What You Don't Know About Magnetic Therapy May Hurt You
Below are some facts about magnetic therapy that you may not have heard...
1. It is a known fact that magnetic fields affect living tissue, despite some mistaken claims to the contrary.
2. Tibetan monks have used static magnets to relieve depression, and modern doctors use pulsed magnetic fields to affect cells deep inside the brain.
3. Pulsed magnetic fields alter bones and tissue, and they are used to treat slow-healing fractures, knee pain, neck pain, and even muscle tears.
4. In Japan, studies have shown that static magnets help to relieve pain in the neck and shoulders.
5. After a personal experience with magnets, Dr. Ronald Lawrence began doing studies on his patients with amazing results.
6. In 1999, researchers at New York Medical College recommended magnets for all patients with nerve pain.
7. Vanderbilt neurologist Dr. Robert Holcombe used static magnets to relieve back pain. He said that the pain relief from magnets can be as effective as a shot of morphine.
8. Magnetic therapy has been shown to help with a number of conditions. These conditions include high blood pressure, back pain, peripheral neuropathy, neck and shoulder pain, accelerated wound healing, and even reducing the side effects of chemotherapy. Most people, however, use magnetic therapy jewelry to relieve pain and inflammation.

Magnetic Bracelets
Choices Choices Choices!
You may also know that arthritis pain suffers have discovered them, and golfers have been wearing them for years. Some people wear them as a preventative measure.
You may have heard some of the benefits of wearing a magnetic bracelet, but what you may not know is how to choose from the various types. Let's look at the differences between the types so you can better choose.
Although there are variations within each type, there are a few different major categories based on construction. In deciding on which bracelet is the right one for you, there are several things to keep in mind.
Magnetic bracelets can be made as singles, doubles, triples, or as a magnetic wraps.
Single bracelets - Single bracelets are a single strand of bead, strung on some type of line. They can be made of either all magnetic beads, or a combination of magnetic beads with accent beads of some kind. They can be either the stretchy type, or be non-stretchy with a magnetic clasp.
Double bracelets - Doubles offer the opportunity to double the number of magnets. They are made with two strands of beads with a magnetic clasp.
Triple bracelets - Triples are made with three strands of beads, and a magnetic clasp. They may have up to three times the number of magnets as a single.
Lariats - Magnetic lariats are also called magnetic wraps or snakes, and can be used as a necklace or an anklet as well.
Although varying sizes are available, they are typically 36 or 37 inches long. Instead of a clasp, they simply wrap around your arm, your neck, or your ankle, and use the magnets to hold together. Lariats are popular because of their unique look, and their versatility and strength.
Cindy makes a 20 inch version that is lighter but still strong, has more decorative stones, and appeals to some people more than the longer ones. One word of caution: many of the lariats you'll find are cheaply made and have weaker magnets, so be careful what you buy.
Now that you know the basic types, you can better make your choice. Keep in mind that style and attractiveness are secondary concerns unless you're buying strictly for fashion.
Neodymium Jewelry
Super strong magnets and look ma, no strings!
Neodymium magnets have been used in industrial applications for years where high strength and light weight, small volume magnets are required. Known as rare earth magnets, they're often used in products you may already own. Some examples are computer hard disks, microphones, professional speakers, headphones, and guitar pick-ups.
As of late, they've become a popular way to make magnetic jewelry. This is in part due to the strength to weight ratio of the magnets themselves, but also due to the unique design.
These magnets are incredibly strong. They're usually coated in nickel, and bind to each other using only their magnetic fields. Since they're not held together by strings, they don't have clasps and can be opened at any location.
One unique feature that results from this design, is that it can be easily resized by adding or removing pieces. This makes them both flexible and fascinating as anklets, bracelets, or necklaces.
The nickel coating holds up much better than either gold or silver plating, and gives the jewelry a silvery shine with an industrial look. This makes them elegant, classy, and modern all at the same time.
A relative new kid on the block, is fun, classy, elegant, and modern. Compared to hematite or magnetite magnetic jewelry, it's also very strong but relatively light weight, and offers the ability to be flexible in size. This may just make it the perfect choice for daily wear.
