Magnify.net - Remove Anonymous Posters Video Tutorial
Why This Video?
I created this video while learning to use Magnify.net, which is an online video hosting service similar to YouTube, MetaCafe, Vimeo, and Daily Motion. The Magnify.net calls itself a "video aggregation platform" -- really meaning it is a place for businesses and individuals to pull-in (or aggregate) video content from their favorite video services (like the one's mentioned above). Then, all your favorite vides, plus ones you create, are in one place. The other difference is in the many tools they provide (free of charge) to display your video content on your own site or on their site.
I kept running into a strange problem while uploading and aggregating videos. Instead of the system showing me as the author or uploader, it kept showing "Anonymous"! At first, I thought somebody was hacking into my video account. After that scare, I started digging around, send email to support (and got an inane response) . . . It took a while to get to the bottom of the problem, but once I found the answer, it seemed a good idea to create a video to show others how to get out of this jam.
My Name Ain't Anonymous is a step-by-step video tutorial that walks you through how to remove videos from your Magnify.net account that were posted by "Anonymous" - a strange phenomenon that happens (intermittently) while logged into both Magnify.net and YouTube. This tutorial also has a PowerPoint slideshow that accompanies it.
