Mahjong Games

Majong is an ancient game that originates from China, the original game is commonly enjoyed by four players. Involving skill, strategy, calculation and a certain degree of chance.

Mahjong is commonly played with a set of 152 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Often people mis-classify Ma Jong as a domino game, This is wrong as Mah Jong has more in common with Western style card games, such as swift. On the web Mahjong Solitaire is very popular.

There are many web games that simulate this game available. Unlike Mah Jong, Mah Jong Solitaire is a single player game. In Mahjong Solitaire there is a pile of Majong Tiles in various configurations and the player must eliminate tile pairs from the stacks.

In Mahjong Connect, the tiles are placed in the same positions for each round. The board is 10 tiles high and 14 tiles across. The aim of the game is still removal of identical tiles, however you cannot remove tiles if they are located too far apart on the board. The gameboard also moves as you eliminate tiles. This moving makes boards more difficult as you progress. The Player is given a time limit to complete the puzzle and a set number of moves, If you run out of time, the game ends although if you run out moves, the board will shuffle to give you more tiles to eliminate.

Many people find Mahjong games extremely addictive and end up playing them anywhere they can, on their iphones, PDAs, and laptops. Yahoo! games has one of the most popular versions of Mahjong Solitaire, you can also find the more traditional four player version of Mahjong. They also pick a fun caricature to present you! Whilst playing Majong games you can talk to and possibly even make new friends!
