The Town of Mahopac

Mahopac is a small town located in Putnam County, New York. Wedged in between Interstate 684 and the Taconic State Parkway, Mahopac offers a quiet, wooded, suburban town with a beautiful lake. Mahopac itself is considered a hamlet of it's neighboring town of Carmel. Anyone who grew up in either Mahopac or Carmel will tell you, they are not the same! They do however, share a rich history dating back to the pre-Revolutionary War days.

A basic overview of Mahopac

Mahopac, New York, is a hamlet in the Town of Carmel in Putnam County, New York. An exurb of New York City some 47 miles (76 km) to the south, Mahopac is located on US Route 6 on the County's southern central border with Westchester County. As of the 2000 census, the population was 8,478.

Originally inhabited by the Wappinger Native Americans, an Algonquin tribe, the hamlet's land was patented in 1697 by Adolphus Philipse, son of a wealthy Anglo-Dutch gentryman. During the French and Indian War Wappingers throughout Putnam County traveled north to Massachusetts to fight for the British.

On the bright side. The folks over at Sparkles were an absolute pleasure to do business with.

John and his daughter created a design with me in less than an hour. My shirts were printed and ready for pick up in 4 days.

The service there was fantastic and delivered with a smile!!!

I as well did work with xpress and they were perfect. There friendly attitudes and quality work were above and beyond. Sorry you didnt feel that way.

It took them more than 3 weeks to print a simple business card so I finally cancelled the order. Every time I asked why it was taking so long they told me how "busy" they were.

On top of that the woman who owns the place was simply rude.

    Hi Derek,

Just wanted to drop you a line.
As you had no idea who I was, you had no reason to believe me about Xpress Printing's bad service and attitude towards customers.

As you can now see - The Better Business Bureau Agrees - Xpress Printing gets an F:

If you ever go back in there perhaps you could ask them about their poor rating by the BBB.
