- I wrote a lot of penpal letters when I was younger. I got into mail art and sending friendship books with art then.

- I've read about this phenomenon before. It's a really clever way of getting art to people and making it popular for the masses. It's compact, you can spend as little or as much time as you want on it too!

- :-) In the 70th i put stickers in telephone houses "reserved for clark kent - mailart was here"; in the days without pc and internet i and some friends sent each other crazy things by snail mail, some things never arrived - possibly some postman has a big collection now of weird stuff :-))

- I very nearly got involved with this once or twice, I was sent postcards and envelopes that had been artified but I was too busy creating the atc's for the inside of the envelopes. Thanks for this lens, It is interesting to see a little of the history of this gendre.
I do believe, I may do something along these lines for my next swap.

- Taking time today from my "SAB" so that I can check out lenses by my fellow Angels. For many years I have done mail art, but never knew it was something others did...interestingly enough lots of my mail never reached its destination...this a great lens! a ~"Squid Angel Blessing"~

- This is such an interesting subject...I received mail art in the 70's when my dad would write me letters with elaborate watercolor artwork on the envelopes. I still treasure them and love the art mixed with the old stamps and postmarks. Beautifully done lens. 5*'s
