Log Cabin Right On Water

MAINE LAKESIDE LOG CABIN right on lake for rent for weeks in June, July, August and September. Fieldstone fireplace in living room, large deck and screened porch, aluminum boat, dock. Front bedroom has double bed .Back bedroom and loft both have twin beds. All electric fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower. Cable t.v, and dvd player. Sleeps six. Picnic tables on both porch and deck.
Spectacular scenery. Magnificent sunsets. Lumber companies don't let people build across the lake so nothing but scenery! Sandy bottom lake, safe swimming for children, good fishing. Quiet and relaxing even in the height of summer. $900 week. Half down, other half when you get there. Pets o.k. Reserve you week(s) now, weeks go fast. The pictures don't do it justice. Back Bedroom

This is the bedroom with twin beds, a closet, and bureau.

Fully Equipped Kitchen

This is an all-electric kitchen with plenty of dishes, silverware, glasses, and pots and pans. Microwave oven, refrigerator, electric stove, coffee maker. Round table with wagon wheel chandelier. Many cabinets. Renters are surprised as to how nice the cabin is as we use it ourselves.

The rooms

This is the front bedroom. There is a closet and a bureau. The front window overlooks the lake, the second window overlooks the woods. There is also a loft with twin beds. The living room has a fieldstone fireplace, a couch, chairs, and cable tv. The windows in the living room are put in sidewise to achieve a "picture window" effect so you can enjoy the beautiful view.
Some firewood is provided for those romantic or cool nights!

If you are interested in renting a week, don't delay. Some weeks are already gone.

Ellis Pond (Silver Lake)

The lake is 1 1/2 x 2 1/2 miles completely surrounded by mountains, and is also known as Silver Lake or Roxbury Pond. Very quiet here, even in the height of summer. Next door is a lovely all-year-round residence owned by an older couple.The cabin is on one acre including land across the road. This is very private as cabin is on a cove, while the all-year-round residence next door is on a point. There is 200 foot frontage on the lake.
Aluminum boat with oars is provided. You can bring your own 5 hp motor if you wish. There is also a boat launch for larger boats as you enter the lake. Jet skis are allowed.
Fish include yellow and white perch, hornpout, bass, pickerel, and is also stocked with trout. Swimming very safe for children as you have to go out a way before it gets deep. Sandy bottom lake and very clean water.

Both the deck and the porch have a picnic table. The deck has a charcoal grill.

Other Facts

There is a laundromat 1/2 hour away in the town of Mexico. There is also a WalMart in Mexico, and a Hannaford supermarket both 1/2 hour away. We also have a Marden's which is in the shopping center if you go east on route 2. Rangeley with its lakes (a resort town) is 45 minutes away. A Height Of the Land is a turnout on the way where you look down on the lakes.The town of Byron is close by where people pan for gold. There are restaurants in Rumford and the nearby town of Bethel, which also has a cinema. There is a shopping center in Rumford with Marden's, and the Dollar Store, and stores and banks in the town of Rumford. There is a log cabin convenience store as you enter the lake, and a general store in Andover which is 15 minutes away. Both have eat-in or take-out food as well as sundry items and firewood.
