Garden Arbor hides Shed
2012-02-08
This is an arbor I created with wood lattice. The base was steel monkey bars. So the dimensions are 8 X 6 feet high. This big cheap arbor was created using 1 and 2 foot wide wood lattice, lattice frames and thick wire. A Honeysuckle Vine and 2 purple Clematis Vines (either side) grow on this arbor.
This has been in place for 15 years. So wire and lattice works pretty good as long as it's on a solid frame. I then placed a another smaller wood arbor in front. So, 2 arbor pictures in one.

So, in essence a garden shed has been hidden with the creation of a large arbor.

Patio Arbor & Fence with Backlighting
This beautiful patio arbor pictures perfect with a fence combination. Just about all of us have an area in the backyard that we would like to hide, while at the same time creating structures that add beauty and serviceability. This is exactly what this design achieved. A gate might have been overkill and I think the use of an arbor as an entrance into the enclosed area works well. This project was created to separate the patio from the garden shed area. The garden fence with arbor are made out of wood and the white panels appear to be a white plastic material that allow the night lights to shine through the panels. Such a unique design. This beautiful arbor is made out of tree branches. While the author gives instructions on "How to Build a Rustic Fence", I'm going to go out on a limb here, no pun intended, and classify this as a Branch Arbor.

This cool shade garden arbor pictures a secluded patio in the background. The approach to the arbor and patio entrance is curved with a stone retaining wall with a raised garden bed for bushes on one side. This asymmetrical approach adds interest by only allowing an indirect view into the patio. Vines are climbing the lattice fence attached on either side of the arbor and a red Japanese Maple arches over the entrance.
