ChaCha is a company that provides a free venu for people to call or text in questions, and then receive an answer to their question via a cell phone text message. I am a Guide, one of the many people who do an internet search for the answers to the questions! I am paid for each answer I provide.

The great thing about ChaCha is that you can work as little or as much as you'd like, any time of the day or night!

ChaCha is fun to work for, but it can be a bit tricky to be accepted as an independent contractor for the company. There are several tests you have to take online to prove your typing and searching skills, and a good number of people I've talked to do not pass. Squidoo

Just as you could take some of your content-rich blog entries and publish them with Associated Content, you can also take blog entries and make a Squidoo Lens. You are currently reading a Squidoo Lens right now, as you read this article. You create a "Lens" on any topic you want, and there are pre-made forms for you to fill in your information to make publishing a Lens very fast.

When you sign up for Squidoo, you are automatically eligible to gain commission from Amazon.com if you decide to place their products or ads on your Lens. (You don't have to, as you see I have not here.) This may or may not be a big moneymaker, I am new to Squidoo, so I can't give my experience. But, some people do use Squidoo to make money, so I thought I'd mention it.

If you have a blog with original content, you may have some entries that could easily be turned into articles to publish with Associated Content. Associated Content will pay you up front for your articles, as well as pay a small amount everytime someone reads you article. Associated Content also requests topics for articles, so you can snag one of their requests and get to typing, or create an article from scratch about anything you desire!

You can also make money by blogging, but it takes a good amount of time to start from scratch. I am learning many great things about this, and there is much information to share, but will leave that topic for another article!

ExpoTV

If you have a digital video camera (some cell phones and regular digital camera have the ability to take digital video on them) ExpoTV is another quick way to have fun AND make cash! ExpoTV is a website where people go to read and watch video reviews of popular products. You can submit a video (minimum of one minute long) of a product review of your choice and make $5 per submission. If you choose to review one of their Most Wanted items, you can make $20 per submission! (Up to 10 per month.) They also have assignments for specific, sometimes really fun and creative topics. You can earn or win cash and prizes depending on the assignment. I think ExpoTV has been the most fun of all my money-making projects!

In my experience, I've found it most profitable to have diverse sources of income, rather than relying on just one type. It is nice to see payments coming in from a number of sources. Even if it's a little here and a little there, the money does add up once you get established in a consistent routine of working on your projects.

You may not get rich or be able to quit your day job by doing the things I listed here, but it is definitely possible to make some extra spending money with very little effort!
