Why Make a Blog and Start Blogging?

The first thing to decide is do you want to blog just for the sake of blogging or to make money?

Two websites to start a free blog: blogger and wordpress

Blogger is easy to use. The registration is fast and you can change the meta tags to increase your visibility in search engines. Posting an entry with links in blogger requires html tags

Wordpress has more professional-feel template and no need of mastering the html codes, everything you need is on their "create new entry" plate.

Start your blog with juicy contents that everyone can relate to. If you love to write, try writing a how-to article of 400-500 words. And after writing, attach an attractive image or worth-watching videos to your post.

Blogger does now have an article editor that allows you to add links without having to code in html, although like in Wordpress you can still view the source for an article and code it if you wish.

I didn't think it was possible to use adsense in Wordpress, at least not on a free blog, unless you added the html code manually into each article.

I mostly host my own blogs so I am free of restrictions such as the widgets you can use.
