Can You Make Money With Squidoo With 30 Lenses?

When I say 30 lenses I mean 30 lenses-- 30 published and featured lenses, if you could make money in 30 days, I am going to say that it is possible, but I believe that 30 lenses which have quality content, are updated regularily, and which the writing community on Squidoo think are fine Lenses and that have some traffic will make you some money and a good solid foundation in which to build your business. Remember at 30 lenses you are getting close to becoming a Giant Squid.

So this is a strong foundation to begin with.

Keep on editing those lenses, or you will find money is slow in coming-- if at all. You will also need to link the lenses you have a lot (or rather start by adding them to at least five different places) or otherwise people will not find your lenses outside of Squidoo. There are many places which you can add your lenses to and that will allow you to build your business and your money.

Note that Squidoo has a two month break between when you create a lens and when you might make moneyon it. In October I have 26 lenses, but I will not know how much money I've mde until December. I have already made 22 cents in August with about 10 lenses up at the time. Since then I have created 30 lenses and yes i have received a pyaout, and yes it was more than $1.

You can make money with 30 lenses, but keep updating them. It is the same publishing on squidoo or hubpages, the more you work the more money you make.

There are five steps to making a successful lens that will make you money in the 30 lenses you have created. These are simple but still you need to follow this list. This is true with either squidoo or hubpages.

1) Write the lens. Then Publish it. This is called self-publishing it. Then Edit it and start linking it to as many places as you can. Welcome to self-publishing.

2) Link the Lenses. Link it to as many places as you can think of linking it to. No links no traffic and NO MONEY. Like a chain, teh more links you have the bigger teh chain to your lens and the more money you will make with your 30 lenses. the links should come from socialnetworking sites, article directories, other online writing sites and of course your websites and blogs. The key is to have some do-follow links and some no-follow links to make the traffic come.

3) Promote your lenses, and your business (as In YOU!), the more you promote the more likely that you will make money with Squidoo. promotion means Squidcasts but also linking or even mentioning your lenses elsewhere. Promotion increases traffic which can increase your lensrank.

4) Run Squid Health Checks often. Find out how to improve. Improvement is key to making money online with Squidoo, anything less than 80,000 in a lenrank is not good and this means that you will not get a payout, as with Squid the tier system reigns supreme.

5) Repeat again.

Doing this all over again with a mind to numbers 1,2,3,4 seems to be the best method to getting what you want with your lenses.

Make money and writing are a big topics in many areas of the online world. People will write about any topic and expect something in return really money really fast. Now, for my own personal view I think money is great and is something that people need, but at the same time, if the writing is not good then you should think about why you are writing in the first place.

The heart of the matter is that most writers freelance, and because they do this, along with other commitments, there are usually a few ways that writers say they freelance. Below are four common ways writers freelance for some money. or, better yet, how they make money with writing:

1) Writing Online Articles: In this case, it is a very large pool, a writer can write on Helium, or HubPages or Squidoo. There they make money based on what they have written. The better the article, the more likely they make some money with their writing. Some writer also use e-zine articles as a way to promote their writing with the idea that there will at some point be traffic from that article to something that they make money with.

2) Freelance Blogging: I have to admit this is a new one, but for some writers this works, they write a blog post, and for say about 15 dollars, they write a post and get paid. Of course this can be up and down and the money needs to come slowly but it does come from their contact. This benefit means that you will have a small byline somewhere but make some money.

3) Magazines, and newspapers, online or otherwise: This is very useful, as it shows that "mainstream" media has accepted you. Of course, you will need to be punctual and have an idea of your rates and the standard going rate for writing. Many writers do make good money this way.

4) Having their own blog and guest posting while using advertisements: Now this is a controversial one but often writers say they do well with their business when they use this method, of course, it means building a blog which people will want to read, but the effort in some cases, according to many writers is worth the effort. They do spend time writing quality content and value their work.

It is easy to build a lens, but the trick (called work) is to build the foundation that gets traffic to the lens and allows you to contne to link an to build all the work which you have done, to make money.

Again, build your links... but also go and do some keyword research with many of teh keyword tools which can be found almost anywhere on the Internet. One of the better ones is Google AdWords Keyword tool, but others have suggested using SpyFu or other keyword tools to find out ranges of what advertisersare paying for keywords. the poin is use a keyword research tool

The important thing is not payments of ads, but rather it is how many people use that search term on the search engines, from Google to Yahoo to Bing. This is one way to make money faster, but it is time consuming, and for those who are new to keyword research it will also a bit confusing.

Never forget to link, and then do keyword research. The more links to various domains the better.

Create a promotion and create a buzz. Do this for each and every one of your lense, more importantly do them for any lens which has a lensrank of less than 100,000.

Build your business and create traffic to your lens. After 30 lenses, yes I have a pyaout from Squidoo-- and no, it was more than $1 which to me was making money online with Squidoo!
