Step By Step Illustrations To Make A T-Shirt on Zazzle
Making products on Zazzle is easy, once you know these simple steps. There are so many advanced options, it often appears intimidating to get started and learn how to Zazzle. Here I show you just how quickly you can make your first T-shirt using Zazzle.
(Zazzle is a fantastic print-on-demand company that allows users to add original art to T-shirts, mugs, posters and much more.)
I love Zazzle, and Squidoo too, so I thought we would make an "Addicted to Squidoo" t-shirt. And as luck would have it, we recently fished up this squid.

Do You Like This Shirt?
So Far This Was Only the Basics - Now We Can Customize
(I think we can make it look better!)

Personally, I don't find this shirt very interesting, but it's not bad either. Here are my thoughts:
* The image is too high up on the shirt
* The font is boring
* The letters would look better larger and in a color from the image
* The gap between the image and text is too large
However, your shirt will look different, and you might be quite pleased with how it looks at this point. If that is the case, skip to scroll through this editing tips section to "publishing my shirt for sale"
Customize It
I'll show you what all the Zazzle options

Here is What I Changed

Here are the changes I made:
* The image is too high up on the shirt - using the down arrow I lowered the image one click (#11)
* The font is boring - I changed the font to Islander using the font selection drop down menu (#9)
* The letters would look better larger and in a color from the image - changed the font size, increasing it to 12 and using the color drop down menu I changed the font color to a matching color from the photo (#7)
* The gap between the image and text is too large - this resolved itself when I did the three steps above, if it hadn't I would have used the up arrow at #6 to move the text
* I also changed the model to a women, using the tab just below the product illustration
A Final Change - Shirt Style - Then Publishing the Shirt For Sale

Using the shirt option tab I changed the shirt to women's baby doll. Now I am ready to post the shirt for sale.

- well explained, saves me time because i thought about it to do a lens like that. the only thing i miss is an information that the backside of the t-shirt can be customized too by clicking on the backview-picture below the preview box;
it is also possible to change a ready-made t-shirt for those who like to have on the backside: select image or text, click EDIT, click COPY, switch to backview, click EDIT PASTE - then go back to frontview and delete the image or text you don't want to have in front ..

- Hi and thanks for such a great lens! I would just like to flag up and issue on Zazzle that concerns a lot of users greatly. That is the utter failure of Zazzle to enforce its policy on ratings. According to Zazzle's own search engine there are 7600+ products that feature the word f**k (I have replaced some characters to avoid offending folk).
Plus there are many thousands more that are either focussed on sexual themes, are racist or abusive of others. Examples are Easter cards featuring phrases such as 'Blow Job' with or without graphic images depicting sexual acts.
Most (if not all - I have yet to find one that is properly rated) are rated G. This is supposed to be suitable for viewing by everyone, including children.
Despite this issue being raised since 2006, Zazzle have done little about it. I realised this was happening only recently (I don't search for such products nor do I use such search terms) when I listed some Easter cards, did a quick search on 'Easter' to see what similar cards were listed only to find all these products using words such as F**K and 'Blow Job together with Easter. What on earth have these topics got to do with Easter!
Please report this issue to Zazzle so that they will finally listen to reason and enforce their own policy. If they fail to act, I for one, will leave, despite having sold hundreds of items and making over $1200.
Thank you for your time, Steven Dale
