Beautiful wreaths, great info! I just might be inspired to make my own this year!
  • flycatcher Dec 3, 2011 @ 1:09 am | delete
When i make a wreath, it's mostly spruce tips as a base, but sparked up with little bits from clipping the 'golden globe' cedar - nice contrast, texture as well as colour - so then all it needs is a cluster of pine cones or simple glass ornaments and a big bow. Love the fruit wreath you show - I might do something like that with marzipan fruit, for indoors display of course!

You do have a wonderful assortment of wreaths!! I do like the chili pepper wreath. But I do like the real wreaths better I think! W e live in northern Wis. and we pick and buy boughs for wreaths and garland, I do like the smell of the pine for the holidays! If you find you do not have enough boughs you could send me a note and maybe we could help. I am going to refer people to your site, it is very informative, and helpful!!!!!!!!! THANKS for the Great Lens!
  • alwaysjules Aug 31, 2011 @ 12:36 pm | delete
I really love the fruit wreath. When I was younger, I grew up near Williamsburg, Virginia, and the old colonial homes hung wreaths with fresh apples, oranges, and pineapples. They were so beautiful. Thanks for sharing all of these great ideas.

Wow, my dear ... I must tell you that I have NEVER seen so many angels until this morning when I began my journey! Bless you for bringing out all those angels. I think each of us has the power of an angel within them ... whether OR not they might have real wings or even be squid angels ... you know?
  • MiaBellezza Dec 24, 2009 @ 4:23 am | delete
I make a Christmas wreath for outdoors on our fence gate the enters the back yard. I like the natural materials, as opposed to tinsel ornamentation. I clip branches from our blue spruce tree to make the wreath and add adornments to the lit fence, and add additional branches to the garland.

How have I ever missed this beauty of a lens? Those wreaths in the images are so lovely, every single one of them, and I love the range of ideas presented here. I have always thought of creating a wreath myself as they can be much nicer than shop-bought ones. This lens should give me the inspiration I need!

Thanks for the comments! I like those stories about the lottery (you're very creative, WeddingZazzle!) as well as I laugh a lot with the story of gluttons, lol.

Great lens. I love making Wreaths! Especially themed ones. One year I made a lottery themed one....glued on fake money and gold coins, but also add real lottery tickets. The person I gave it to loved it...and even won a little money from one of the tickets.
  • Kapalbility Nov 6, 2009 @ 1:33 pm | delete
Last Christmas, I made a wreath and added grapes as decorations. It did not last until Christmas. We have greedy gluttons here at home. Hahaha. This gave me an idea on non-edible Christmas decorations. Thanks!
