use only Kohl eyeliners on inner eye rims ...
For bigger eyes use white Kohl eyeliner on lower rims of eyes, apply a light-colored eyeshadow over lids, silver eyeshadow on upper brow and near your tear ducts, apply thin line of eyeliner, curl lashes and apply mascara - great tip use a business card to shield eyelid from mascara.
Eyeliner use sparingly
and Light Eyeshadow

In order to make it appear as if you have bigger eyes, you'll need to use liners sparingly as too much liner will make your eyes seem smaller.
Only line the outer one-third to one-half of your eyes with liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow liquified with water, or an eyeliner pencil. If you must have eyeliner in the inner half of your eye, then use a lighter color all the way up to a white.
Putting eye makeup too close on the inside of your eye, can make your eyes look closer together. I recommend using a very light color of shadow to pop in that area for bigger eyes. If you have big, wide eyes then eyeliner from edge to edge is just fine!

But if you have wide-set eyes, here's a few tips. Do put eyeliner on the outer one-third and inner one-third of the eyes. What I do is use a kohl eye pencil on the inner and outer one-third of the eyes and draw a fairly thin line, then I apply a darker eyeshadow (with a small brush) over the pencil line going slightly beyond the pencil line for a smokey look. Plus the shadow sets the pencil line so it does not smudge off easily.
New Concealer with Sponge Applicator
Beauty Products for Bigger Eyes
I bought this concealer about a month ago and I just love it. It has a sponge applicator and you can control how little or how much concealer you want to put on. It is much finer than a regular concealer and you can also put a regular concealer on top of it if you have really dark under eye circles. To create the illusion of bigger eyes you need a great concealer. It also makes a great base for applying your eye shadow.

Eye Makeup for Aging Eyes
Matte Shadow
First recommendation, if you have aging eyes, is to only use matte eye shadow (no sparkles)! Sparkles highlight any wrinkles.

Second, recommendation: Age Rewind, Light is a concealer and highlighter. I have dark circles under my eyes, so I have used concealers for many years. The most recent previous concealers I have used were Revlon Age Defying, which I found too dense and tended to highlight wrinkles under the eyes, and Revlon New Complexion concealer which I preferred. But I decided to try Maybeline's Instant Age Rewind. Now if you have dark under eye shadows this has the best coverage I have ever experienced, and is very light in texture so it does not highlight wrinkles! The only criticism I could possibly make is that I would like a more refined applicator. It just seems to load too much on.
Now the highligher has a fine soft brush and I use it under the lower lashes (just towards the inside closest to the nose) to bring brightness to that area and it creates the look of younger, bigger eyes. I'm sticking with Age Rewind and highly recommend it as the best concealer I've ever used.

If you're like most women you want your eyes to look bigger. Bigger eyes look youthful, alert and animated! ~ Image © konradbak - Fotolia.com
Make Bigger Eyes with the right Eye Shadow. Adding light colored eye shadow to your eye lids will make your eyes appear bigger. For subtle light and sparkle choose a cream eye shadow. Select an eyeshadow color that suits your skin tone, and one that doesn't contrast too sharply. Younger women can get away with the more extreme colors, but not if you're older. Older women should choose matte finish eye shadows, not the sparkles. Sparkly eye shadows tend to accentuate eyelid wrinkles.

Bigger Eyes Eyeliner Techniques
2012/02/16

There are various techniques depending on your eye shape. Applying eyeliner is a tricky business. Here are a few tips for a better looking eyeliner application.
Image © Subbotina Anna - Fotolia.com
Apply an Eyeshadow Primer to your lids and then after about one minute apply your eyeshadow to the lids. With a narrower brush apply a dark eyeshadow just above the lash line and also below the lower lash line. You should hold a tissue under your eyes to catch any powder fall off, or be ready with a big fluffy face brush to sweep powder off. Now this sets your eyes up to accept a liquid eyeliner. Personally I prefer an eyeshadow that can be applied wet or dry (just about all dry eyeshadows can be applied wet), or a Liner Shadow which is available in oodles of colors. So wet your Eyeliner Brush with a dark eyeshadow, similar in color to the powder applied and apply it to the top and bottom. This method avoids liquid eyeliner goof ups and is pretty much foolproof! Now you have alluring bigger eyes, with no discernible eyeliner line, in other words, a very natural look with loads of drama.
This type of application can be applied to the entire eye, so if you like the cat look where your eyeliner sweeps from the area above the tear duct all the way across, this can be done and you don't have to worry about a lot of gunk turning up in the corner of your eye around the tear duct - very unattractive and annoying.
Try this technique out. You'll be surprised how beautiful it looks and it has loads of staying power.

Adjustment for light and shadow can help create the illusion of bigger eyes. If you have dark shadows in the inner part of the eye next to the nose, use a light concealer and blend, then after you have applied your eyeshadow apply a white or cream-colored powder eyeshadow (or a shade that is close to your skin tone) to this area to set the concealer. By lightening the dark corners you will get this effect and will look more refreshed to boot! Also apply this same eyeshadow to the outside of the eyes (as seen in photo) to create extension and bigger eyes effect.

For daytime or more natural looking makeup, put a light eyeshadow all over your entire eyelid (lower and upper eyelids). Brush a medium shade of eyeshadow in the crease of your eyelid, (but slightly higher than usual) and with another brush put some brown eyeshadow on the tip and blend it just above the lash line [its softer and more natural looking than liquid liner for daytime wear] then put the brown eyeliner pencil on the bottom line of your eye. Dab highlighter in the inside of your eye [near the concealer, draws attention to your eyes for that bigger eyes effect] and then put on your mascara!

Luminescent eyeshadow near the inner eye
can create the illusion of bigger eyes ~ 11/08/29
Stroke lighter eyeshadow on your eyelids and a darker eyeshadow across the crease above your eyelids, blending well. Extend eyeshadow in the crease outwards at the sides of your eyes blending beyond your eyes slightly. Luminescent eyeshadow near the inner eye can create the illusion of bigger eyes (see video below for an example). You can also make your eyes stand out by lining the lower rim of your eyelids (above the lash line) with white eyeliner (demonstrated in video immediately below).
Don't line the inner edge of the lower eyelashes; it will make your eyes look smaller.
For an instant eye lift and brow lift add off-white, cream or a very light shade of eyeshadow to the arch just below the eyebrows.
