Making your own hip hop beats and tips to succeed

Making your own beats is something that can be both enjoyable at times, and a pain the ass at others. While you will most likely work from scratch on a track you are submitting for 50 cents next album, lets face it, a lot of what we produce is for artist demo's, background tracks, and other less time worth causes. Our producer group does about 20 full tracks a week. Guess how many of us there are? 3! I am not talking 20 beats either. I am talking about 20 tweaked banging tracks. How do we get such high productivity you ask. It simple, we use short cuts where ever possible that won't effect the overall quality of our work. My favorite short cut for hip hop tracks and hip hop instrumentals is beats365 . They have a catalog of thousands of beats for every type of hip hop available royalty free for download. And their library is still growing. Plus its not a subscription fee you have to pay monthly. One time cheap payment and youve got them all. Plus they have a money back gaurantee.

Learn How to Outsource Pitch Correction for you vocals

And since I am on the topic of shortcuts. We use another one that save us thousands. Instead of doing our own vocal pitch and timing correction, we us a company called vocalsurgeons.com. They only charge $75 a track for main vocals 45 to do all the back up tracks at the writing of this article. The funny thing is we know how to use melodyne, auto-tune, and the other tricks, but we have checked. Their work always comes out way better than ours does. The only thing I can figure out is that they do it all day, so they have become amazing at it. They are fast too! We have saved so much money in studio rentals since we started using them as well. Now we do not need perfect takes, because they sound perfect at correction any ways. What used to take us 5 hours now takes us 2 or 3. music industry news on vocal perfection
