Make your own Christmas cards

Handmade Christmas cards are special
You can always buy dozens of pre-made Christmas cards to save you time. After all, there is so much work to get done before Christmas. But perhaps for a few special people in your life, you would want to send them your most sincere and heartfelt greetings with your handmade Christmas card? Consider making your own Christmas cards this time round. It's not that difficult at all. :)
Have your Christmas cards done instantly with 'You Can Craft' craft kit
I'm glad that I bought a copy of the craft magazine 'You Can Craft'! It was the October 2008 issue. It came with a project bag containing colored cads, patterned papers, die cut shapes, snowflakes sequins, Gingham ribbons and Pearlescent glitter - materials to help you make your own Christmas cards immediately! Christmas cards I made with the help of YCC

I'm no experienced card maker. In fact, I just started to learn about card making recently! Here are some of the Christmas cards I made with the materials and instructions given in the 'You Can Craft' project kit.
How to use this magazine
In the October issue of 'You Can Craft', there are 69 easy-to-make festive card projects to follow. For your first or two cards, you may want to select the easiest projects to start with. After that you can continue with the slightly difficult ones.
You will find yourself beginning to improvise the design after making four cards or so (e.g. using a different color from the suggested one, add a snowflake sequin where originally there is none). That was what happened to me, haha!

This is inevitable though, as the materials provided in the project bag are not sufficient for all 69 projects. However, since you've already got a hang of what card making is about, and know what materials you need to make your own Christmas cards, you can go to your local craft store anytime to replenish the supplies. Try to get different colored cards and patterned papers to give a variety to your Christmas cards.

I added strips to the original design. My Christmas cake doesn't look very nice, :P

I used a different colored card and die cut.
