Make Your Own Myspace Layout
The next thing to do is go to a site for free myspace layouts and start browsing. Once you find a layout you like simply click "preview" to view it at full size and then click "download" to go and get the actual code that you will paste into the "about me" section of your profile. Easy enough.
But and this is a big BUT, what happens when you can't find the myspace background you want? Do you email the Myspace Layout maker on the site and beg and plead? I do personally know of a Myspace Layout creator who does take requests (Ted the intern) but he is always slammed with an endless stack of requests. It is not unusual for a layout request to take 3 months to get posted up on their site.
Not gonna happen right? For example if you have a layout in mind, say the original Mickey Mouse or some rare anime show that you are into, or heck a picture of you and your friends as the Myspace Background - what are the odds that you will find that layout? Pretty Slim eh?
Here is a site that will solve all your layout problems forever :) you can make your own MySpace Layout! Just locate the MySpace Background Generator on the site - it rules, its easy to customize with different options and you you can auto-post directly to your account!!!

Use Your Own Picture for Your Layout

It's very easy to create a layout using your own picture or image. You can either use a photo file or an image file of a graphic you've created or found somewhere on the internet. There are two ways of going about using them as your myspace background.
1. Browse through files saved on your computer. Simply select the file that you want to use in the myspace layout generator and it will become your background.
2. Enter the image URL: this means you have your image stored on the web somewhere - might I suggest photobucket? It's free and easy to store images. If you don't have a place to store images, and you've found an image on a website that you like, you can right-click on that image and click "copy image location". Paste that link into this field, and your image will become the background. I'd recommend storing the image yourself though (like photobucket, or flickr, or a similar site) otherwise, if the website that you've borrowed the image from takes it down or moves it, you've lost your image.
A TIP FOR BACKGROUND IMAGES:
Use large images, as they need to fill an entire screen to be your background image.
If you're searching for images, consider adding the term "wallpaper" to the search to return images that are meant to be full-screen size.
Create a 2.0 Layout
MySpace released a new Profile 2.0 on November 10, 2008. Some people still prefer the original myspace layout style, but if you're keeping up with the changes, you'll need to make your own myspace 2.0 layout. You can still create a myspace layout using a myspace background generator, but you need to switch to Profile 2.0 on MySpace.
You can do that by going to MySpace and click the link on your Edit Profile page or in the profile menu drop down 'Customize Profile'. Simply paste the code for your personalized layout in the "Edit CSS" field instead of the old school "about me" section.
Super easy! So, go ahead and make your own layout already!
