How to Make Your Own Recipe Book
If you want to make your own recipe book, like me follow along. I'm going to show you how easy it is. Whether you are using recipes you've found online or you've pulled together all your family heirloom recipes, you're going to learn how to make recipe book that will rival the best on the shelf at the bookstore.
Step 2 to Make Your Own Recipe Book
Find some recipes
The second step to make your own recipe book is to begin gathering the recipes you want to include. With Tastebook you can include recipes from other users, and pull recipes from big name sites such as epicurious, my recipes, and cooking light. As you can see from the list here you have so many choices of where to get recipes from.
I know I use All Recipes a lot to find recipes for dinner. This would be perfect, because I could keep them all in one place, in a real life cookbook on my book shelf.
You can also make recipe books for different topics. Say you love salmon you can make a whole how to cook salmon recipe book. You can choose seasonal favorites and create a recipe book with the four seasons and appropriate recipes in each section.
What makes this very cool is you can also upload your own personal recipes. When you make recipe book this way it means you can use your family recipes to make your own recipe book.
This is how I found Tastebook. I wanted to take my mom, grandma and great grandma's recipes ~ which are all on index cards stuffed in wide range of boxes right now, and put them in a book. Then I could have copies of the book made and give them to all the family members for Christmas. That is still the plan. I just have to get the recipes out of my mom's house without her noticing. ;)
Once you have put your recipes in the system it is as easy as dragging and dropping them into your recipe book.
Step 3 to Make Your Own Recipe Book
last step ~ yep it's just that easy.
This is where it gets seriously cool. Once you have added your recipes you can do a preview of your book. You will actually see your recipe book, it will open and you will see your recipes inside, exactly how they will look when it comes to you.
If you like the way it looks save it and add it to your cart. You can then pay and put in your shipping information and your recipe book will come right to you. That's all there is to making a recipe book with Tastebook.

it's easy with Tastebook
Let's say you are trying to make a recipe book of your family's favorite recipes. It would be really easy to do this as you planned meals let's say over the course of a year. You could choose your favorite recipes each week and add them to your recipe book. That would be cool right?
It's absolutely possible with Tastebook. You make recipe book say ~ My family favorites. You put some of the recipes you know your family loves in it when you create it.
Then you buy it. Your homemade recipe book comes to your door, and you still have recipe credits at Tastebook. Each week you can add your family's favorite recipe to your tastebook page, and then order that recipe. It will come and you simply open your recipe book and add the new recipe.
That's what I am planning to do. I have lists everywhere, but can never find them when I go to create a new menu every week. It would be so handy to have 100 recipes my family actually loves all in one place. :)
If you like this idea, or the idea of learning how to make your own recipe book, go to Tastebook.com. Look around. They have created great videos and some wonderful images to walk you through the process. They have really made it quite easy to make your own recipe book.
If I start now . . . this could all be done by Christmas. hmmmm.
