Loved this Lens; thanks for the good info, perhaps I'll make a tie-dyed lilt to represent the tribe of The Grateful Dead (which was actually the first time I saw guys wearing them other than on St. Patrick's Day).

Nicely put together. I love seeing a man in a kilt. You are a brave woman to actually make them.

Underneath our clothes we're all naked..so I guess it is the same with a kilt. I am not Scottish but I would wear one, just not when it is too drafty. A green Squid Angel blessing to you! It's not spoiled, it is Saint Patrick's Day!

Don't think I will need one but if I do...

I love kilts I should really make some for me and hubby. He would love them. So if you see a small truck driver climbing out of an 18 wheeler somewhere wearing a kilt you know I actuall made them lol

    Great lens! Blessed and liked.
  • JohannTheDog Aug 31, 2011 @ 6:49 am | delete
How fun! I bet I would look on a quilt - especially since I'm a Shetland Sheepdog, BOL! My Mum got me a tartan id collar, guess that will have to do :)
  • GreatWestern Aug 28, 2011 @ 4:18 pm | delete
Kilts, the single greatest article of clothing ever.
  • Ilona1 Jun 25, 2011 @ 8:57 pm | delete
I used to wear kilts all the time ;)
  • Susan52 Jun 10, 2011 @ 2:21 pm | delete
I'd love to see my husband in a kilt! Not holding my breath, though. So glad I happened to see this page. Fun - and interesting!
  • tailortoo Mar 26, 2011 @ 5:34 pm | delete
It is great what we learn from our children's interests. I made a kilt for one of my sons for his prom - no dull tux for him.
  • StephenC Mar 8, 2011 @ 10:37 pm | delete
A lot of people don't know that Irish wear kilts too. Nice lens!
  • SandyPeaks Mar 4, 2011 @ 7:39 am | delete
Great lens! I don't envy the work involved lol! Blessed by a SquidAngel.
  • JoshK47 Mar 1, 2011 @ 12:55 pm | delete
Excellent lens - as an occasional kilt-wearer, I am always entertained by how many people wonder if I am going regimental.
  • badmsm Mar 2, 2011 @ 12:16 pm | delete
I've never asked anyone myself, but the answers fly freely when I do hear someone foolhardy enough to try! LOL! They usually end up blushing... ;)
  • BigGirlBlue Feb 14, 2011 @ 11:27 pm | delete
I won't but a kilt is pretty sexy especially if there is an accent to back it up. :D
  • chefkeem Jan 11, 2011 @ 7:48 pm | delete
    Nice lens, but I'm currently off-kilter... ;-)
  • susannaduffy Oct 28, 2010 @ 7:31 pm | delete
I wear a kilt too - no one has ever asked me what's under it :)

It is my understanding that, of the one hundred million, people worldwide who are of Scottish descent do not realize it. This does not surprize me.
  • BFuniv.com Nov 10, 2009 @ 12:16 pm | delete
Love the kilt, but I wear it with boots under it.
  • stargazer00 Oct 25, 2009 @ 6:05 pm | delete
I actually saw a man in a kilt at the mall the other day! Be still my heart! Blessed!
  • ElizabethJeanAllen Jul 15, 2009 @ 8:36 pm | delete
Cool! I've made a lot of things but I've never made a kilt.
Thanks for stopping by my lens and the blessing.

The Guitarist from ACDC Angus Young also wears a kilt back on those days. Like Your Lens!

In Scotland you really don't see that many Scots wearing Kilts when going about their normal day to day lives, they are normally saved for special occassions. It is such a pity because they look sooooo good!
  • ChineseKitesforKids May 14, 2009 @ 1:45 pm | delete
There is nothing sexier than Mel Gibson in Braveheart wearing his kilt!! I get all flushed thinking about it. This is a great lens! I'm going share it on facebook because I think it's that unique and you never know when you're going to find someone who is looking for this very thing. Good job!

I'm from the Gunn clan. My father has a tartan blanket for his Chevy, but I don't remember him ever wearing a kilt. Squid Angel Blesssed, my fair lass.

Thank you! I had found some of the same links but a few I missed!

I am taking my son to Burning Man this year and plan to have him properly kilted!

I remember at a Faire a few years back, when we had some unseasonable COLD weather. A man wearing a kilt was standing next to me when a particularly sharp gust of wind whipped off the frosty Sierras straight under his kilt. We both yelled "WWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!", himself for the severe chill, and myself for empathy!!! LOL!!!
  • lakeerieartists Aug 20, 2008 @ 11:13 pm | delete
I love to read romances and the eternal question is what did the Scots traditionally wear under the kilt. Of course, the answer is nothing.

But, my next question is. . . wasn't it a little cold under there? Scotland is not known for its warm weather.

"You think your pants are manly, do you!" LOL

    Great lens.
  • MobyD Aug 20, 2008 @ 10:25 pm | delete
I got a kilt at the Portland Highland Games in July. I wore it that day and also at Faerieworlds.
  • adez7 Aug 20, 2008 @ 9:57 pm | delete
I won't wear one but others will! Good job! :)
  • mulberry Aug 20, 2008 @ 8:48 pm | delete
Love it. My high school was known as the Highlanders; kilts, bagpipes, the whole deal. All from Scotland. (the Ramsey clan I believe) I love hearing Amazing Grace on the bagpipes.
  • badmsm Aug 20, 2008 @ 8:06 pm | delete
Thanks, Thomas! But I do hope you're at least wearing pants...LOL!
  • ThomasC Aug 20, 2008 @ 8:02 pm | delete
Have you ever had your lens blessed by an Angel on the first day you made it?
    You have now!
Great Lens! Although, I am still not wearing a skirt!!!!
