When I first read Affiliate Avalanche by David Cooper, I was afraid it was going to be another one of those pie-in-the-sky "wake up to a full bank account" guides full of empty promises.

I'm not an idiot. I don't need someone coddling me into thinking making money online is a breeze, so I was really wary from the start. I've read too many lame guides that promise everything under the sun.

Starting on his sales page for Affiliate Avalanche, Cooper made me roll my eyes a couple of times - like when he starts dropping hints of six figure salaries.

But I figured what the hell!

There's a guarantee with this baby, so if it's just another make money online eBook laden with empty promises, I won't have risked a dime.

I'm happy to report Cooper's eBook is not hype-filled at all. In fact, it's the first time I've ever read an Internet marketer say that affiliate marketing is actually WORK! Can you believe it?

He tells you straight up to work on your FIRST sale and then you repeat the process until it's virtually automated and then your income snowballs into the big-daddy paychecks we all dream of.

So okay, I put old Cooper's strategies to the test - everything from the simple hidden keyword advice to advanced stuff I'd never tried until he explained it to me, like vlogging (video blogging).

I couldn't make a dime with the audio - but maybe it's my backwoods accent nobody adored. I did make a pretty penny with the vlog, though - Google loved that because I mixed it with text and video kept 'em coming back.

If your tooth hurts, you go to a dentist. If you need your brakes checked, you see a mechanic. If you want to learn how to create and launch an eBook, you go to Tiffany Dow.

Building an eBook Empire was her second eBook. Back up a minute. Actually, this girl's probably written more eBooks than anyone else on the internet. She was a ghostwriter for the gurus!

This eBook teaches you everything in a Dummies way - so that even if you don't know what an autoresponder is, you soon will. But it's also a tell-all about her time writing for such gurus as John Reese, Rich Schefren, Jimmy Brown, and others.

The game of making money online is sometimes dirty when you're in the trenches, and although Dow doesn't advocate every method she exposes, she's truthful about how some top marketers go about building a successful business.

I hate to say it, but I found the bonus report (almost 20 pages, so it's almost an eBook on its own) to be more of what I needed than the eBook itself! Not because the eBook wasn't worth it, but because I think my own personal needs were in learning HOW to write and the bonus title, How to Write a Great Product When You're Not a Professional Writer sums it up.

I was already experienced at launching my own eBook, but I did still pick up plenty of tips I hadn't thought of before when I read Building an eBook Empire.

My advice? Get it done the way Dow says to do it - and follow through to the end until your launch is a success.

She even used a human guinea pig (Sandra Brown) to test her make money online eBook and last I heard, Sandra had made over $4,000 in one month on her first eBook. Not too shabby!
