Amanda Makepeace - Mother, Artist, Writer, Free Spirit

Watching her Mother duplicate on paper her favorite toys inspired Amanda to begin her own creative pursuits. It Amanda Makepeacewasn't long before drawing became her own obsession. However, when Amanda reached her teens she was put off by conventional art instruction. After completing a year of Art study at University she went on to finish her BA in a different subject. It was only after achieving a commission for a book cover in 2005 did Amanda give art school another try. She received a Btec in Painting from Kensington & Chelsea College in 2006.

Like her interests in life, her art is not bound to one subject or style. Amanda has explored the beauty at our feet and the expanse of the universe. She is drawn to anything that moves her on an emotional level.

Amanda is a published artist and active member of EBSQ - Self Representing Artists. She is currently working on several projects; including new watercolor paintings and new pebble paintings. In March 2008 Amanda returned to the USA and now lives in Athens, Georgia with her daughter and 2 cats.

In 2009 Amanda's long lost love of writing reawakened. She is currently writing her first novel, as well as working on the occasional short story.
