The mineral makeup that makes me look and feel great
Fast forward 15 years. I was watching television when I ran across an infomercial for Bare Escentuals Bare Mineral makeup. Normally I don't watch infomercials as I always want what they are talking about, and this time was no exception. It looked so easy: swirl your brush into a small amount of minerals, tap the excess off, and swirl onto your face. I figured it was worth a try.
It was just as easy as it looked! From the first application I was hooked. No color lines along my jaw, the uneven tones disappeared, and best of all: it did not irritate my sensitive skin. My sisters, sister-in-law, and mother all wear Bare Escentuals now. Although my mother still complains that I do not wear enough makeup......it must look too natural for her to notice!

Oh foundation, how do I love thee? Seriously, I love this foundation! I use the lightest color they have, but they have several different shades. If you are lucky enough to visit a Bare Escentuals store, or another store that carries the line, you can sample the goods and discover which shade best suits you. To use: just tap a small amount inside the lid. Swirl your makeup brush inside the lid to capture the minerals. Tap your brush against the lid. Apply to face by buffing in small circular patterns across your face. Repeat until you are satisfied with the coverage. This is the one product that I feel naked without!
Did I mention that it is SPF 15? Considering that I need the lightest shade I find that very helpful indeed!

To finish off your look, use the Mineral Veil like you would loose powder. It is completely translucent, but seems to just soften the look of your face. I skip this if I am in a hurry, but generally the whole foundation-application process is so fast there really is no reason not to apply it!

I use Everyday Minerals almost exclusively. I do get Ecco Bella lipstick and Almay mascara, but other than that, Everyday Minerals!

I hate lipstick and have never found anything other than a basic lip balm that I would use. But these actually make my lips feel better, like they have been conditioned. I like this pack so I can have a variety of colors, plus the small size makes it easier to pack in my purse. These don't work as a lip plumper for me, but they do tingle a bit when applied. They are the only colors I put on my lips!
