Liquid Foundation Vs. Mineral Makeup

I will review the pros and cons of liquid foundation and mineral makeup. I've used both, and I'll share my view on each.

Maybe it's just me, but I think mineral makeup let's your skin to breathe through & it honestly feels like you're not wearing anything! & I haven't broken out ever since!

For me to have oily skin, I say minerl makeup is better because liquid foundation and oily skin are no fun. Tha's how you end up with makeup stains everywhere

I don't know which is better yet! I've been wearing liquid makeup for about 25 minutes now & so far, it's going great!! (: I usually use mineral makeup & i ALWAYS have to reapply!! It sucks when i'm at school, because there's no time to keep running to the restroom to reapply, ya know?!??

 

Positive Points of Liquid Makeup

  • Good coverage
  • Wide range of colors to choose from
  • Possibly less expensive than mineral makeup
  • A wide variety of brands and prices

Negative Points of Liquid Makeup

  • If you apply with your fingers (like I do), it's very messy, and it's sometimes difficult to wash off
  • Can feel greasy and heavy on your face
  • I've heard some ladies explain that it's like wearing a "mask"
  • If you have large pores, they can be more noticable with the improper products

Positive Points of Mineral Makeup

  • Very easy to apply
  • You can't even tell you have it on. Nice and lightweight
  • You can blend or layer colors to suit your skin tone
  • Covers redness well

Negative Points of Mineral Makeup

  • Can be quite costly, especially if you use Bare Minerals (I love AVON's Smooth Minerals)
  • Can leave a mess behind after application
  • Might make your eyes feel dry momentarily

This is What I Recommend

The Smooth Minerals makeup line, which is new from AVON. I like it even better than the Bare Minerals line! I urge you to try it. And the Smooth Minerals lipstick feels so wonderful on your lips. You've got to try this stuff!

    Hi, I've been wearing Bare Minerals for years and love it. I thought maybe I'd try something new, so I'm doing a little research. I use the regular BM, not the matte. Any suggestions?

    I found bare minerals about 7 years ago and have never even considered switching. Mineral makeup is the way to go.

    I've never worn liquid foundation, but I do like mineral makeup. I just bought a set of Bare Minerals eye shadows, but haven't had time to experiment with them yet. I'm glad Avon has a line of mineral makeup now. Their products are always great.

    I can't wear foundation because I break out like a salmonella virus. Mascara makes my eyes swell and lipstick causes chapping. God just doesn't want this girl wearing make up...lol You know what I love from Avon is there lotions! That firming lotion of theirs saved my life when I was pregnant. No stretch marks. I used it religiously everyday and my skin was so elastic by the end of the 9 months that it just snapped right back into place. It was crazy miracle lotion I tell you. Next time you make a lens you should talk about that! LOL
