Crazy Ramblings of an Obsessed Makeup Junkie

In a craze of excitement, I fly thru the door, at almost a dead run towards my dressing table. I land in the chair with my heels still smoking from skidding thru the kitchen as I turned the corner at top speed. I stop for a mere second to reminisce about the time spent at the makeup counter picking out THE perfect shade. So many to choose from! Sparkle and shimmer. Bright and dark. How is a girl to choose??

I flit and I float as I go from Lancôme, to Bobbi Brown to MAC. All the new shades are out, eye shadow and lip glosses are my major passion. My left hand is a menagerie of colors, remnants of my trials and errors before the final decision was made.

At last the sales associate hands me that little handled bag full of my purchases. It makes me feel almost giddy as I skip out to my car and toss my well thought out package into the passenger seat of my Jeep. The package tempts and taunts me on the ride home but I don't give in. I will need time and there just isn't enough at a red light!

As I sit in my chair at the dressing table, my little handled bag in my lap, I try to contain my excitement as I remove my purchases one by one. Yanking out a drawer I pull out my favorite makeup brushes. Nothing cheap on this table!! NARS, MAC, and Bobbi Brown just to name a few are ready and waiting!

Slipping my new eye shadow out of its box. The compact sleek in design feels cool in my hand. I open it slowly to reveal the smooth, shimmery untouched surface. It is almost like looking at a field after a fresh snow, so perfect and undisturbed.

Grabbing my favorite NARS squirrel & goat hair eye contour brush, I hold it suspended just short of dipping into the brand new shadow. When I can't take the anticipation any longer, I dip it in, swirl and tap off the excess. Sweeping the shadow across the lid, I close my eyes and sigh. Perfection!

Ha! How is that for some cosmetic weirdness!?? I am a major cosmetic junkie, I LOVE to shop for cosmetics but now that I actually own my own store, Bela's Boutique, where I sell the high end cosmetics and skincare that they normally sell in the high end department stores, I pretty much shop within my inventory. Days that I get a shipment in are like Christmas! I never know what I will be getting or what I might want to keep so it is always exciting!!!

This is my first lens so it is going to be a bit about me and what I do and what I love!! I am planning on making many more, as I have heard these are a great way to promote my business so I am going to give it a shot!!!
