How To Make Your Dream Come True!

While reading this book I found purpose and direction for my life. At the time I was recovering from a devestating attack of paralysis from Multiple Sclerosis, and my whole life was changed. I had been given a dream but I had no idea how to start. This book and the lessons I learned helped me overcome my illness and live a purpose filled life even through weakness and disease.

Working as a Life Change Network volunteer with World Vision Canada has changed my life in many ways and I have my young granddaughter to thank for this. She wanted to help after watching a TV commercial about a mother walking for miles to collect water for her children. Donating money was just not enough for her, and she started collecting pennies to help buy clean water for a family. This led her to invite her friends for "Tea Parties with a Purpose", "Pennies From Heaven Parties" and "Clean Out Closet Sales". With the proceeds we bought clean water for families and sponsored our first child. In the process of researching the company, I became a Life Change Network Volunteer. My granddaughter and I participate in events and help encourage others to sponsor children through World Vision.

Dave Toycen is the CEO of World Vision Canada and his book encourages people to raise our children and grandchildren to move seemingly impossible mountains by teaching them the power of generosity.

Reading this book really helped me to clarify where exactly my skills and talents lie and I am using them in every way I can for my business and charity work. When World Vision asked for volunteers I couldnt' wait to sign up. With lots of training behind me it was time to organize my first event for a Child Sponsorship Campaign. I already knew my two of my sweet spots were organizing and putting on shows, from reading the book, so I got busy planning.

Soon I had an outline for a "Variety Show With A Purpose" to highlight Child Sponsorship and a Stand Up Against Poverty Event. It took a huge leap of faith for me to step out into creating this event but an even bigger step was putting it all into action, which I did successfully with the help of friends and family. The second year we had a fabulous "Elvis" show and the following year I put on a talent show. This year we are organizing a community rally and five high schools for a Stand Up Against Poverty event.

I can truly say that I am definitely not living a common life anymore! I have found my sweet spot and I am having a wonderful life since I read this book and acted upon it's lessons!

Joel has also impacted my life and helped show me how to make my dreams come true. These books and his powerful, positive attitude living have made me realize my full potential.
