Beaded Book Thongs
Book thongs fit between the pages of a book where you stopped reading. A thin cord is usually used, and it is embellished with charms and beads. The top and bottom ends hang out of the book making a book thong both decorative and useful.
When you make bookmarks as gifts, beaded book thongs can be made with charms and beads tailored for each person's personality. Part of the fun of making bookmarks is choosing just the right materials.

Silk, Waxed Linen, Leather
Be sure to check the size of the holes of beads to make sure they will fit through your cording.
Beading Needles and Thread for Making Bookmarks
You may need to use a
beading needle,
like a big eye needle
for some "limp" cording
like silk or embroidery thread.

- I make bookmarks from old greeting cards. This looks like fun and I even have most of the supplies on hand to make one of these book thongs. I'll feature this on my bookmark lens.
