Making Earrings from 2 hole slider beads

2 hole slider beads can be used in a variety of ways, earrings for example

Slider Beads make
great Earrings as well as other fine jewelry accessories. This pair of Earrings
is so easy to make, in a vary short amount of time! What we did here was take
a piece of wire and do a little wire wrapping, don't mind the sloppy job on
the wire wrapping, that actually was done intentionally to ensure it would appear
in the image as to what we had done! But, here's a small tutiorial on how to
use 2 hole slider beads into making
earrings!

How to make Earrings using 2 hole slider beads

Tutorial on using 2 hole slider beads

So, basically, take a piece of wire, and in this case we added a couple
of beads to just add to the design, loop through one hole on one side,
make and arch, then loop through the other hole and fold up onto the wire
itself and wire wrap to hold in place. We used a head pin, so the other
end didn't need securing. Then, grab in the middle and twist, this makes
the top loop. This is also a great way to make pendants...but I'll write
on that at a later date. Ignore the other holes on the bead, we'll use
those, in this example to add some dangles to the design.

To start out making the dangles, using gold head pins and add various
beads to them, we used 3-4 per dangle, make 8 dangles total by adding
the beads to the headpin and then making a simple loop at the top and
wrap. Then, take the slider
bead casting
and put a gold split ring in the hole in the corner and
loop 2 pre-made dangles up with a gold bead between the two, this spaces
the dangles out a bit for better hanging.

And, viola, you have a beautiful pair of earrings with very little time
or money into them! Mobile-Boutique.com
offers a wide range of slider beads that would work using this technique.
A little wire wrapping and a bead can be made into something more!

Nice tutorial. I enjoy making jewelry, but sometimes see products at the bead market that I'm not really sure what to do with, such as the pendant/ earring pieces with multiple holes. Thanks! I look forward to more! Have you thought about linking to youtube to show clips of each step?
