Trying to make a lens

I have tried for a week to build a lens. It say everywhere on Squidoo, how easy it is to make your first lens. I feel so stupid because it has not been easy for me. I have read countless how to lenses on making lenses, that I should be an expert buy now. I have received great information from these lenses that when I get a lens published I will comment on all of them. But as of now I still cannot get one to work.

Why is my screen to create a lens so different from what I see on the how-to lens? I'm thinking this is one of my biggest problems.

I have also tried to login to SquidU to get more help, or the lounge (I need the lounge about now). It tells me that I need to login with my username and password, I do this and it tells me I'm not logged in. But I see my name at the top Hi, Carrie. So I'm pretty sure I'm signed in with the correct password and username, or not.

I have also tried many times to change my Bio picture, But still my Bio picture is of two cute little squids.

So here goes another attempt to make a lens. I hope it works. If you are reading this than it worked and I will be one happy lensmaster and hopefully become a great lens writer.

I'm great but feeling so frustrated right now. This has to work. It is hard to write everything down and then lose it. Then have to type it again and it is never the same as the first.

    Thanks for your comment, since this lense I have written about 12 others using different pen names. Once you make your first lens the rest are much easier to do. Good luck to you also on all future lens you write. I will read them.

    Looks like it worked out in the end!
    I felt like you to start with, spending more time reading info given by some great lens masters has helped me. Now I right about whatever comes to my mind. Good luck on your next lens.

    We're in the same boat!I've been trying to make a lens since yesterday but til now, I can't set up my first lens:( .Cheer up! Sometimes monster is no monster at all.. hope to read your lenses soon:)

    Hey well I found your lens. It's a good start, but I think that you should edit your bio. Right now it just just says "Hello world. This is my bio I can edit it later!" Putting some information up about yourself might get people to want to read your lens. Gave you 5 stars! P.S. Any parting thoughts? 

Okay, lets hope that this whole process of me writing my first lens will make me a great lens writter and maybe someday I can write a How To lens.

    Hey well I found your lens. This lens is a good start, but I really think that you should edit your bio, if will propably get more people to want to read your lens if they learned a little more about you. But right now your bio just says "Hello world. This is my bio. I can edit it later!" I gave you 5 stars.
