So, does RedGage make me money for socializing?

A month ago, I was introduced to a Facebook-like website called "RedGage". I was told that we could create back links to our web content. I had a lot of articles that needed back links and more exposure. So I readily signed up. Boy was I surprised, it pays you money for creating links and other content.

Actually, we could create a lot more things other than only links - upload pictures, articles, documents and even videos. And you get points and money for uploading them. I quickly found that RedGage is a community - users comment, rate, "favorite" (like) and share each other's contents. You are given set money for approximately 1000 unique views for your content. If you're a typical Facebook user, you can cross the number of views within a day.

How much money can I earn for 1000 views?

The amount you earn from 1000 unique views is called CPM - cost per thousand (M = 1000 in Roman). When I joined RedGage, the CPM was $0.60 and has been the same ever since. From the reports of other fellow users, this varies user to user.

Making money with Featured Content

If your content (pictures, links, videos, articles, documents) get featured on the home page, you get bonuses. The maximum bonus I have seen is $5.75 and the minimum $1.20. Not only you get bonus, but also get maximum exposure so as to get more unique views (and more monies) for your content.

    Well, I tried to visit the site and tried to sign up as well but the page didn't come up. When I click on 'sign up' button nothing showed up, page didn't change...

Redgage is good for backlinks, and earning money on there is fairly easy, however the Redgage card puts me off. I received mine over a year ago and made one small purchase on it. To withdraw money on it seems to be extremely difficult and even more so for non-U.S citizens. If they had an alternative payment method, I would spend a lot more time on there. For now though, it is simply a place to backlink my articles.
