Have all your Positive Intentions been washed away with only the grey days of failure ahead?
In the midst of the Christmas Cheer it's easy to be positive and determined to succeed with your New Year resolution. As you move through January your good intentions are maybe beginning to fade ... but you're still hanging on with the tips of your fingernails. Typically by the time February comes along all those good intentions are as forgotten as Auld Lang Syne You're putting on a brave face but really treading mud waiting for the summer .
It doesn't help that your body probably feels like the weather too - sluggish from all the over indulgence. Really there is just no motivation to get physical when it's so grim out there - no sponaneous walks without full rain gear and wind proofing. Tempting to stay curled up and warm with a little treat..

Managing your Will Power?
Don't Manage it - Ged Rid
Might sound strange but it could be your Will-Power that is sabotaging you from achieving your resolution. The words you choose to use have a great impact on your sub-conscious. I know this very well as I am working with words all the time helping people to have a more positive out look to their life.Think about Will and Power.
Whether you are wanting to Give Something Up - like a habit, or stop a negative behaviour the words you use to talk to yourself are the key.
Using this kind of negative self-talk will only embed the struggle you are convinced you have to have. You are imprisoning yourself in battles of will.
Try this and see if it sounds better to you.
Breaking free from a habit or tryng a fresh approach?
Of all the people around you that are giving you advice and words of wisdom - guess who you listen to most and who has the most influence on you and your thoughts. Right - it's you. Your words, and especially the self-talk words that go on in your head have THE most impact on your behaviour.
Tips for Achieving Change
Make it easy
1 Examine the words you are using for self talk and adust them.2 One at a time - quality not quantity
3.See it in your mind as already happening
4, See it from different perspectives i.e. from the future looking back, from another planet loking down, from the eyes of a child, a bird etc. Use your imagination and really expand the perspective.
If it's a biggy
5 Make it small by chinking it into managable steps
6 If you need help get some
