You are a very good researcher, so your lens(s) are very well presented. Good work and great information. See you around the galaxy...

I had a look at your makingamark.co.uk site, and just had to say that I think your pastels are gorgeous, especially the travel pastels of all the palm trees in Goa. I think Squidoo is lucky to have you.

Wonderful lens! Its fun reading about such an interesting person who has created so many excellent lenses about art. You have a lot of excellent resources and links to things that you love. It would be great to see more pictures of your own art on here, too... ;)

Excellent art lens. I used to be an art teacher and my youngest son is an artist now. I still have an interest but don't get drawing as much as I would like to. Latest drawing I did was using ArtStudio on my iPad.

The structure for your lensography is the best one I have seen yet, keep up the good work.
I think that it's good because of the legibility and the structured content.

I viewed two of your YouTubes .. Monet's Water Garden and also Monet's Flower Garden.
One word for them. "Beautiful!" Now, I have another place I've just got to visit, Giverny, France.
I want to say, "How dare someone give you a 4 1/2 star for this. It's 5*s for sure!

Wonderful lensography of not only your lenses here on Squidoo, but your 'presence' around the internet. Nice list of resources too. My daughter is an artist, married to an artist. I'll be sending the link to Marking a Mark to her. I'm sure she'll find it helpful and interesting.

It can certainly be confusing to start with - but so is learning any new language for communication. The impact on your art depends on your purpose. A lot of artists comment online that social networking is a much more efficient way of staying in touch with other artists AND marketing their artwork!

What does it all mean? Squidoo? Twitter? Facebook, Even the on-line dictionary doesn't recognise most of them. So who thinks up all these strange titles? Further though, if I join, will I be 'twiting', 'squidding' or 'facing' all the time, instead of painting? That's what I would love to know.

BH - Thanks for the comment. I went and checked my reference to Talens Van Gogh in Coloured Pencils - Resources for Artists and see I referred to my local supplier without identifying who that was or providing a link to their website. Big mistake!!! This is now corrected - I've provided a link to both website and the drawing catalogue which quotes prices in my review of the Talens Van Gogh pencils. As stated in that review you can find shops which stock Talens on their website (also listed) - but I'd ring the listed number and check before paying a visit to make sure that a shop stocks their coloured pencils as well as Talens paint

As stated in my review Royal Talens Van Gogh Coloured Pencils

Can you suggest where to buy Van Gogh Color Pencils, open stock or sets? Can't locate a supplier. Appreciate all the information on your site! thank you

How can you find so many hours in each day? Just one negative, however, Katherine. The real word is "duct" tape - not "duck tape," as it seems to emerge from people's mouths. The "duck tape" thing is a common comedy bit here in the U.S. But your links are wonderfully helpful; your knowledge, so generously given, is terrific; and I am so glad I ran across your site(s). Truly, your linking to so many different yet pertinent sites is of great help to this artist! And it is a real pleasure to read English well spoken, well spelled - unlike that here in the States, for the most part. And your art is inspirational, to say the least! Thank you so much, Katherine!

Having exchanged converstaion with you in the forum Katherine, I thought it was about time I headed over here to get to know you better. I am glad I did and although I do have some creativity in art, I think my main niche is in writing, so I will be heading back to visit this lens when I start looking at the resources on Squidoo for writers.
5*s and favourited as I want to keep up with any changes you make to this lens.
