Why Ebay?

 

The market in setting up your own online store is now saturated, vey few people can succeed. So where are the entrepeunersmaking their money? The Answer is Ebay. And as these next two articles by writer Jack Crown will show you, you can make alot of money without much work at all. If you're really interested in starting your own ebay business, I suggest you buy one of the many Ebay books at the bottom of the page, which helped me tremendously to make my own money from home.

If you're looking for eBay jobs or want to start your own eBay business, the following tips will help you achieve your success in whatever endeavor you choose. Obviously, the big money comes from being a powerseller, so these tips will help you reach that point. Most importantly, eBay jobs and businesses must stand out from the crowd.

1. Always feature your auctions. You will receive 10 times more traffic than other non-featured auctions simply by being featured in the top results.

2. Always use a gallery picture. However, don't make it like all the others, and if you are selling an informational product, don't use an e-cover graphic. For example, if your e-book is about dog training, take a picture of yourself next to your dog and use that as your gallery picture. That gives it a personal touch and eBay users will love it.

3. Write an auction title that grabs people's attention. Come up with 50 titles and then consult family and friends for the most popular one. Test your chosen titles over a period of time, because the title is extremely important.

4. Use a subtitle. These are important so take advantage of them.

5. Only use the BuyItNow option that offers immediate payment through PayPal. Do not charge any shipping for informational products.

6. Use the auction style that allows the seller the ability to sell more than one product per auction. However, keep the amount lower than 15.

7. Most of your sales will occur on the first and last days of an auction. Therefore, choose the 7-day auction and start it at 9:30 PM so that it will at 9:30 PM 7 days later. You will want to start a new auction every day until you have listings that start and end every day of the week.

As you can see, eBay jobs require careful planning, and a very important factor of successful auctions all depend on the auction's title and timing. In Part 2 I will go over additional tactics that will help you on your path to powerseller status.

Part 1 of tactics for eBay jobs and auction success focused on the importance of auction titles and timing, so for part 2 I will focus more on the actual sales page itself. By following these basic tips you should easily skyrocket your revenue and sales and become a powerseller.

1. Don't include anything on your sales page that will divert the buyer's attention. You will already be vying with many other links on the same page.

2. Never use the term e-book. The ten cent e-books are getting spammed on eBay now and everyone associates them with poor quality. Most people don't even know what an e-book is, anyway. So the problem becomes difficult because you would be selling an e-book for $30 or more when they see them all over the place for $0.10 cents; a tough sell. Instead, use a term like Downloadable Manual.

3. Automate your e-book delivery system. Make the purchase confirmation email explain exactly how to download and open the e-book, how to get in contact with you, your policy for feedback, and whatever else is necessary.

4. Provide positive feedback to your customers as soon as you can. Your positive feedback can be used to drive more traffic to your site. For instance, your dog training e-book can provide feedback like this, "John Doe's dog will really be his best friend now! www.dogtraining.com."

5. If a customer leaves you personal feedback, instead of the "A++ Great Seller!" kind, leave a personal comment in your feedback as well. Again, people love personal touches.

6. If you receive particularly good feedback, use it as a testimonial on your sales page for added credibility that includes the buyer's name.

There are obviously many more tactics, but these should provide a basic outline from which to start your eBay jobs career. Good luck!
