Are Malaysians being underpaid?

Malaysia is a multi-racial nation. The best part is that the education system allows the citizens to learn more than two languages.
The Chinese in this country speak not just Malay, but also fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien. Many Multi-national Companies (MNC) prefer to setup service center and even research center in Malaysia due to the educated work force.

But are Malaysian employees well-paid? It is not is compared to the neighboring country like Singapore.

Are Malaysians Happy with their Salaries?

The latest salary report is finally out! The salary range that is found in this report serves as a benchmark for job seekers. However, I personally feel that these figures do not portray a fine picture. Are we Malaysians being paid less than we should, thereby having to struggle to lead even a medium lifestyle? Some Malaysians feel that they are indeed being underpaid. With workloads increasing every year, they feel that only their salary remains constant.

One reader who read the report felt that employers in Malaysia seem to pay their employees what their job is worth and not what they are worth themselves. In such a world, employees would need to re-educate themselves. He urges people to start thinking of money as being an idea, which in turn comes from thinking. He encourages people to THINK BIG and not limit income.
