Hi fellow crafters!
Craftster 2007 Craft RoundUp
Top 10 Craft Websites
1. WhipUp.net : This is a great site because it has a ton of craft tutorials and it is updated frequently. You can also submit your own tutorial if you want. There's also a forum for discussing all things crafty. I've noticed almost all bloggers interested in crafting have Whip Up in their favorites.
2. Craftzine.com : I love this site because it is the companion to CRAFT magazine. They have a forum, podcasts, and projects. If you think you have a great project idea you can try to submit it to them, and maybe your idea will end up in their quarterly magazine. CRAFT magazine is published online or will come to your door in print 4 times a year. I got a subscription for Christmas. Yes!
3. Craft Boom (emomsathome.com/craft-boom): I really like this site because it deals with the business side of crafting. There are some terrific articles and interviews, so check them out!
4. Craftypod.com : This site has great pod casts/ interviews with accomplished crafters and also good book reviews so you know where to find your next dose of inspiration. (I love buying craft books!)
5. Craftster.org : This fantastic site has lots of project ideas, pictures of stuff we've all made and posted, and a forum that covers a ton of crafting subjects. This is a great place to get inspired by your fellow creative geniuses.
6. Etsy.com : How could I not mention Etsy? If you haven't seen Etsy already, prepare to be amazed. There are so many creative people selling their wares on that site that you could look for weeks and never come close to seeing everything. I have bought several things from different crafters on Etsy and have not been disappointed. Support the handmade community and purchase something unique that no one else has.
7. GetCrafty.com : Another great all-around site with forums, articles, projects, etc. A great place to meet like-minded people.
8. TheSwitchboards.com : This site is a giant craft forum where you can learn or provide your own information about the craft business. A great place to get and give ideas.
9. Creative Kismet (http://blog.creativekismet.com): This is a craft blog with a whole page of terrific tutorials. I love to browse through them for ideas.
10. Thimble.ca : This is just a great all-around craft blog. There are tutorials, book reviews, great pics, and much more.
Well, I could go on and on beacause there are so many more terrific sites out there, but I will leave it at that for now. I think the sites I profiled are good starting, and for that matter, finishing points for any crafter worth their salt.
