Man Down by Dan Abrams

A boy and his father were in a terrible car accident. The father died instantly and the boy needed immediate surgery and was taken to the hospital because the best surgeon was there. As the surgeon scrubbed up the surgery was halted by another doctor who said, "You can't operate on your own child". Who was the surgeon.

When this puzzle joke was new in the 70's millions of people were stumped; couldn't answer. I was a feminist and I couldn't think of the answer TWICE! BTW, do you know the answer?

Dan Abrams the hunky lawyer/TV personality who rushed to fame when he covered the O.J. Simpson murder trial for Court TV. He is now seen on Good Morning America, after stints with several other networks. He has an internet company Abrams Media that has many websites including a website "Mary Sue" that celebrates women in geekdom.
