Manchester has risen from the ashes of its Industrial past, shrugged off the IRA bomb and reinvented itself as the playground of the North. And Manchester hotels are one of the driving forces behind this change, with modern, high class hotels opening across the city centre.

But of course, a city is more than just its hotels. Manchester has a wealth of culture and nightlife that is just begging to be explored, like the impressive Urbis (pictured).

Hilton Manchester Deansgate
The Hilton Manchester Deansgate occupies the first 23 floors of the eye-catching Beetham Tower, currently the tallest building in Manchester. It has a 5 star rating so you are sure of unparalleled luxury!
Midland Hotel
The historic Midland hotel is one of the most distinctive and easily recognised lanmarks in Manchester. The Midland has a luxury 4 star rating and is famous for, among other things, being the venue where Mr Rolls first met Mr Royce. The rest is history!
Malmaison Manchester
The Malmaison Manchester has been tastefully converted from an grand old warehouse into a classy looking hotel with individually styled rooms.

Manchester Transport

Manchester city centre is fairly compact, making it easy to get around. Transport links into the city are convenient and, as long as you avoid the rush hour, fairly comfortable.

Once in the city centre, it is easy to get around on foot, while free shuttle buses snake around the streets every few minutes.

Manchester Chinatown

Manchester Chinatown lies in the heart of the city and is a thriving, bustling mix of restaurants, Chinese supermarkets and businesses.

Whatever your taste in Oriental cuisine, you will find it here! But while many people only come to Chinatown for the nightlife, they are missing out on all the daytime fun.

You can browse for unusual gifts in any of the cellar shops, then take lunch at any one of the many buffet restaurants around the main square. Or why not treat yourself to Dim Sum at the New Emperor restaurant?

Whatever your reasons for visiting Manchesters Chinatown, you are sure to find much more than you expected!

Manchester Nightlife

Manchester nightlife is legendary, with a lively club scene and enough bars and pubs to suit every taste.

If you prefer a musical night out you have an unrivalled selection of venues, from foot-tapping Irish bars right through to the Royal Exchange Theatre and then the mighty MEN Arena which holds around 15,500 screaming fans at an average concert!

The Printworks has been transformed from the old Newspaper Printing Press into a modern Entertainment Complex, with a wide range of bars and clubs and even a 20 screen cinema. This is where all the manchester accountants and solicitors hang out!

Gay Village

The Gay Village is a collection of bars and nightclubs lining canal street in the city centre.

It is a popular destination for gay and straight visitors, although it is not uncommon for mixed couples to be refused entry to some of the clubs.
