What is the difference between Shonen and Shojo Mangas?
Find the right manga for you!
Shounen means "boy", and is applied to shows and manga that target a specifically male audience. Shoujo means "girl", and targets the other half of the population.SHONEN Magazines = Young Man
SHOJO Magazines = Young Girl
Even though the mangas have a target market, it is not unusual to see an older audience pick up a mangazine for themself, or even have a full subscription. Stories are stories, and many mangas carry excellent plot archs that just about anyone can enjoy. An example of this would be Bleach, which is tailored to a slightly older people, because of its use of blood & epic battles.
