Mangosteen as an Antioxidant
Antioxidants are known to help prevent oxidation of our bodies' cells.
Free radicals cause this oxidation, and the free radicals get into the body as a result of over-exercise, being exposed to dirty air and other environmental pollutants, and stress.
How Antioxidants work
You can see how an antioxidant works by cutting an apple in half and squeezing lemon juice on one half, and leave the other half as it is. It is most important that the product has independent testing to show the following:
1) How many Xanthones in the supplement. There are more benefits in supplements with more Xanthones.
2) The amount of Phytonutrients in the supplement. Phytonutrients can protect against disease and promote health, and they are nutrients which are derived from plants we can eat.
