Manlalakbay - A Biographical Lens

Actually, way back to 2008, when I started studying the internet, I was about to make a blog, a manlalakbay personal blog. The registration page prompted me what name should I use. And that when manlalakbay was born. And the rest is history.
Anyway, I know you're wondering what does 'manlalakbay' mean? I will enumerate my explanations right here on this lens.

1. Manlalakbay is a filipino word
2. Manlalakbay, when translated in english, is a traveler.

I just want to clear it up that I'm not actually a person who does travelling a lot to different parts of the world. It's just my way of saying that I love wondering to different aspects of life by learning things that are new to me. As reading makes you experience other places, other cultures. It seems that through reading even if you've not been in the place, it's as if you've gone there already.. I want to wander my mind and travel to different knowledge that other mind knows. That's why I choose 'manlalakbay' as my pen name.

My real name is Jethro but you can call me Jet.

Honestly, I don't want to be called by my name because privacy is my priority. I live in the Philippines, a country where Manny Pacquiao, Charice Pempengco, Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo came from, and I'm proud to be a filipino citizen. I'm an IT (Information Technology) graduate in Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Taguig. English is not my mother tongue but I know how to use it. It's part of our education. I'm 23 years old who fond doing:

What's with 'before' and 'currently' headers? It basically means things I enjoyed (before) and things I keep doing until now (currently). I want to do again the things that made me happy if I can find free time and opportunity.

I started here as nothing and clueless as to where should I start. My mentor who's the reason why I'm here, helped me (until now) to learn the ins of Squidoo. I'm less than a year and hopefully to celebrate my one-year birthday (May 17, 2011 to be specific) as a loyal squid.
