3 Things to Consider when Buying a Manufactured Home

1. Location, Location, Location. Find a location that suites your needs and desires, but also complies to state and local rules. Some areas have strict convenants which will not allow manufactured homes in that area. Be sure to check with your realtor and local office BEFORE buying a parcel of land for your manufactured home.

2. Manufacturer - In order to get a feel for the modular housing industry, it's important to meet with several builders. When meeting the builders be sure to check out their onsite model homes? Are they up to your standards? Are they designed properly?

3. Style of House - You probably have a good idea of what style of house you are looking for. Whether a cape cod style, bungalow or colonial, be sure to talk to your builder about the various styles of homes and what customization options are available with each.
