From the lens Manuka Honey - It's Healing Power.

    I have used active manuka honey successfully in the past to treat burns, and I know that it has great healing properties when applied topically to the skin.
    However, I am wondering whether I can use it on a henpecked chicken?! Does anyone know? I don't want to attract the wound to more pecking! Many thanks.

    Hi Brenda! Glad you enjoyed my lens! Manuka honey is so amazing I have a jar of it in my cupboard at all times, you can get it from any good health food shop. But be aware that there are some brands out there that carry the name "manuka honey" but if they do not have an official "UMF" rating they will be just the same as any other honey. It is expensive compared to regular honey but it is well worth the extra as I can't remember the last time I had a cold let alone the flu! I also use it on any cuts, burns and cold sores I get! If you want to know anymore, please ask away, I can talk about Manuka honey til the cows come home!

    I knew honey was better than regular sugar but I did not know it had other properties. Is it available worldwide -- other than through sites like eBay? Well done lens!
