I love doing Map Jigsaw puzzles but I seldom get a chance to do them. So for the 2011 Rocket Moms Toy and Games Gift Guide, I made this lens about Map Jigsaw Puzzles for those of you who are still asking - what to buy for your kids.

Please keep in mind that, not only are these puzzles fun and challenging to do - they are also very educational as well.

For those of you who are not aware of the significance of this upside down world map - I come from New Zealand - which is usually at the bottom of the world. However on this map, NZ is at the TOP of the world. YIPPEE!!!!!

    Map Puzzles are great for everyone from kids to seniors. We did lots of puzzles with our kids when they were younger. I like that you can learn about different countries on each continent with a map puzzle. Happy New Year!

    Someone has just given me a world map jigsaw puzzle in a polythene bag with no picture or guidance as to size etc. I thought "well, that's all right, I know roughly where most places are", and I planned to take it over to my family, so that we could all do it together, but my daughter said "no way without a picture" - what a sissy!

    I love jigsaw puzzles and I love maps, so map puzzles would be perfect for me!

    I LOVE jigsaw puzzles but, like you, I rarely get a chance to do them. Also like you, I LOVE maps. I have one world map puzzle that I especially like because the peices are in the shape of the countries so it's easier to learn what the countries actually look like. But I must admit, that globe puzzle is COOL.
