Maple Popcorn
Maple Popcorn Recipe
Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks. For every holiday or occasion, I try to sneak it in somewhere.
Alright, Alright. I must admit, I am kind of addicted to popcorn. So, maybe I make this popcorn snack every time for me. However, everyone else seems to enjoy it too.
This is my Black and Orange Maple Popcorn Recipe.
Note: Candies can be used instead of sprinkles to create your color scheme. Example: Reese's Pieces, M&M's, Crushed up Candy Canes, one or all the colors of Skittles, Coconut, Chopped Nuts or anything else you want to use to create the look you want.
1 stick butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
8-10 cups popped popcorn
1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt. Keep stirring until the mixture comes to a boil. Continue to stir, and let boil for 4 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over popcorn and stir until well-coated.
4. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. Stirring once or twice. Remove from oven.
Chocolate Popcorn Drizzle
1 cups chocolate chips
Orange sprinkles (these sprinkles can be changed to any color for any event)
Pour chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 20 second intervals, stirring after each until fully melted. Drizzle chocolate over popcorn and top with sprinkles. Refrigerate until chocolate is set. Break up into clusters and serve.

- My younger daughter is a popcorn fanatic. We live in Vermont, so I must make her a batch of maple popcorn from organic local popcorn and syrup soon!
