Marblehead Ohio

A few years ago, my husband was given a night stay for our family at The Great Bear Lodge (now called The Great Wolf Lodge) which is a hotel and indoor water park in Sandusky, Ohio. This was suppose to about a 3 hour trip, but was more like a 4 1/2 hour trip due to the fact that our children were almost 1 and 7 at the time. The Great Bear Lodge was a lot of fun for our 7 year old, but our almost 1 year old did not think too much of it! lol!!! While we were up in Sandusky, being homeschoolers and it being during the school week, I decided to make at least part of the trip educational. After studying the surrounding area, I found an attraction that I really wanted the children to see, their first lighthouse. Of course, being that near The Great Lakes, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to let them see Lake Erie either. So off we went to Marblehead. It was a great educational experience for our 7 year old. He was truly amazed at how large Lake Erie was.
