Follow the undefeated teams through the season

After a few weeks have passed, the number of undefeated teams will be narrowed down a select few, and we can start to see who may be the elite teams of the year vying for the four #1 seeds. Check back and see how survives the first few weeks of the season unscathed.

Now that conference play is getting underway, who would have expected only 2 teams would survive unscathed? With the upset of Kansas yesterday by Tennessee, Texas and Kentucky are the only two undefeated teams remaining in Division I. How long will that last? We'll have to wait and see - but one of the biggest games of the year is coming up on February 8th when Texas hosts Kansas.

And then there was one.... Kansas State #9 upsets Texas on 1/18/10, and Texas then lost to Connecticut, so Kentucky is the last unbeaten team and moves up to #1 in the polls. How long can they continue their run?

Well, the answer is not long - after being upset by South Carolina, Kansas returns to the top spot! How long will they hold it?

Well, the answer is not long again - after a wild weekend where 3 of the top 4 teams lost, Syracuse jumps up to the #1 spot for the first time 1989-90!

But once again, it didn't last long, as Louisville upset Syracuse, and Kansas returns to the #1 spot in the last poll before Selection Sunday!
