This non-profit marketing lens is all about (get ready for it...) non-profit marketing. Brilliant!
I'm the new marketing doofus at The International Rescue Committee after serving as the VP of eMarketing at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for 2 years. I'm quite busy driving people mad with social networking, the efficacy of Second Life and thinking up excuses to stay on Youtube all day long.
This lens will provide you with links to books, blogs and vendors. I'll also toss in at no cost some very short and carefully constructed opinions. I just can't help myself.
You can read my npmarketing blog as well!

Non-Profit Vendor Selection
Top vendors for non-profit marketers to consider, with a short comment from me about them!
- Kintera
- One of the "biggies" for online fundraising. I've worked with them for less than a year and have been happy with their ability to deliver what they promise.
- Convio/GetActive
- You say ConviOH, I say CUNvio...
Extremely smart and savvy emarketers, I think they have a rock solid platform and know what they are doing.
Kintera's foil. Recently bought Get Active. More recently filed to go public. - Active.com
- Our primary online fundraising vendor for events and ticket events - these guys bend over backwards for you. It just so happens that our Team In Training event is a perfect fit to their core audience members resulting in a lot of synergy.
- Blackbaud
- I have literally no experience with these folks, except that I know they run a ton of ads in the various non-profit trade rags.
- Firstgiving
- Formerly Justgiving, these guys are making a run at NPO's with pretty slick looking online fundraising services.
- Democracy In Action
- I got an email from a reader of this lens telling me that Democracy In Action is terrific. Thanks for the note :) I can't vouch for these guys, I haven't even loaded their web site.
- Advocacy Online
- IRC is using these folks for international e-advocacy - nice set of tools, very easy to work with. Based in London.
